I love how quick it went (even with purl rows) and the different textures in it.
Summer Flies is free download on Ravelry.
The ruffled edge has 396 stitches and is supposed to be stockinette. With my "experience" I knew it would roll, so I made the last 5 rows garter, then the picot bind off. That was fun!!!
It's beautiful. Love the way it stripped. The picot edge looks nice but I know from experience that they take forever to knit. Wouldn't it be fun to find beads that looked like flies for your Summer Flies shawl? Sorry, my mind just went there.
ReplyDeletethe edge took 1 3/4 hours to finish!!!! Beads would look nice; maybe next time.
DeleteBeautiful. That is a lot of knitting in 4 days. Hope to see at next Knit Nite.
ReplyDeleteIt will be there for you to see!!!!
DeleteBeautiful, beautiful colors in this shawlette. The striping is very pretty. I am looking forward to seeing you model it at Knit Nite.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Now I can get going on the color whirl vest (the pattern you gave me last fall) I'm 1/3 the way through the knitting in the round part. Pictures will come sometime.

I'd rather go back to Austria, but who knows? It was a fun shawlette to work on.
