Summer Flies

Just finished this amazing shawlette!!!!  Only took 4 days of doing mostly nothing but knit, and my arms have the soreness to prove it!!!!
I love how quick it went (even with purl rows) and the different textures in it.
Summer Flies is free download on Ravelry.

The ruffled edge has 396 stitches and is supposed to be stockinette.  With my "experience" I knew it would roll, so I made the last 5 rows garter, then the picot bind off.  That was fun!!!

  1. It's beautiful. Love the way it stripped. The picot edge looks nice but I know from experience that they take forever to knit. Wouldn't it be fun to find beads that looked like flies for your Summer Flies shawl? Sorry, my mind just went there.

    1. I'd rather go back to Austria, but who knows? It was a fun shawlette to work on.
