Twinkle, twinkle, little star

We're welcoming a baby girl into our family in June.  I found this pattern on Ravelry and fell in love!!!  It's worked from the middle out, and will be a square blanket...haven't figured that part out yet, but I'll bet it has to do with the short rows on the edging.  I'm about 1/3 of the way done, and just love this pattern!!  If you look close, you'll see the little stars in the pattern.

Inspiration from big sis

My big sis was here for a couple of days, and so we had to go shop!!!  She needed a new crochet hook holder.  The one I made her was so admired by her daughter-in-law's mother, she decided to make her one.

We got 2 fat quarters, and folded, re-folded, and figured out how to put it together with the least amount of sewing time.  Between us, it worked out pretty well.  I had leftover fleece we used for the lining.

I made two larger pockets on the left for scissors, and my 'Q' and 'S' hooks.

Also, on Knit Nite, I started another little owlet, and got it done Friday night!!!  This is a gift to my preacher. She loves squishy little cute things!!!

More rings---I'm addicted to them!

Most of you saw the witch doctor rings in person...Well, now I have two more to share with you.

Meet Mike:

The Merry Christmoose Dahling moose:

I am telling you, these take a couple of hours, and are so fun to do.  I used pipe cleaners instead of cable needles for the pictures because I was at church and didn't have my cables with me.
If you get a hankering for making rings, go to Ravelry queenofsheeba's page.  she has a lot of cute little projects.

Just a simple hat

This is a simple hat I made for the mitten tree at church.  I am also testing if I can get pictures on the blog.  So far so good.
